Our Church Staff

Stephanie Catalini, Church Administrator

Stephanie Catalini has been our Church Administrator for several years now. She is typically in the office Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, from approximately 8am – 1pm and Thursdays from 10am – 2pm, except during school vacation time. Stephanie and her family reside in Melrose.

Tara Tresner-Kirsch, Music Director

Tara is multi-instrumentalist (piano, cello, and organ) who also loves to sing and direct choral music. She
comes to us after completing an interim position at First Church Somerville (UCC) as handbell director and accompanist, and has also been a substitute musician and director at many churches in the greater Boston area. In addition to making music in churches, Tara is an accompanist and assistant beginning-string teacher in the Needham Public Schools and music teacher in the Watertown Public School Extended Day programs. She also teaches piano and cello to individuals and spends a lot of time gardening. Tara will usually be at MUUC on Tuesdays. Tara looks forward to working with the musicians, congregation, and staff of Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church this year.

Rev. Anne Principe, Interim Director of Religious Education (DRE)

Anne was our DRE from 2003 – 2006. We welcome her back! Since her time with us, she has become an ordained interfaith minister and a certified graduate field education supervisor for Harvard Divinity School. She has continued her education in leadership for change and been a workshop leader at Ferry Beach and many UUA conferences on subjects including “Mission Trips for All Ages,” “Spiritual Creative Practices,” and “Leadership Development Immersion.” She has written pieces for UUA Curricula, and has served a number of UU congregations as DRE/Interim DRE. With Anne, we look forward to strengthening our youth programming, evaluating our religious education program, and developing strategies for continuous improvement.
