Our Next Steps Process is moving towards conclusion this month with a weekend of events planned to take place here in Melrose. Our Next Steps consultant, Liz Coit, will be at MUUC the weekend of November 11-13 having a dinner with the Board, a lunch with church Past Presidents, conversations with more congregants, and a meeting with church leadership to talk about coming back together and building community: the here and now and the near future. The weekend will conclude with a special Sunday service led by Rev. Susanne and Liz so be sure to mark your calendar to attend either in person or via Zoom to hear highlights of Liz’s Next Steps’ analysis to date.
An important part of Liz’s research has been the conversations she has had with more than 60 church leaders, staff, and other members of the congregation, representing all our various church committees and special groups. These conversations were focused on general reflections, observations, and stories about MUUC overall, plus some information on various engagements and work with the church/congregation. If you have not yet had an opportunity to have a conversation with Liz and would like to share your perspective, please sign up for one of the final sessions Liz will host when she is in Melrose with us:
Session 1 Friday, November 11 9:30 – 10:30am Parish Hall
Session 2 Saturday, November 12 9:30 – 10:30am Parish Hall
Sign-up to attend either session is required. A maximum of 10 participants will be included in each session so that all attendees may fully participate. If you wish to participate in one of these conversations, please email email@example.com, including which conversation session you prefer and if you can attend only one or either one. A confirmation will be emailed to you confirming the session you are registered to attend.
Thank you for your support of and participation in our Next Steps program. If you have questions or want to discuss it further, please feel free to contact Jenny W., Rev. Susanne, or Cathy S. directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
