Welcome To This Spiritual Home

We are located at 70 West Emerson Street in Melrose (westerly off Main Street). We are directly across from the Melrose Public Library. MUUC is easily accessible from all major highways north of Boston, and by public transportation. Click HERE for a Google Map to MUUC.

Public Transportation

Please click on the links provided for detailed information.

Commuter Rail: Take the Haverhill/Reading Line to Cedar Park. This line comes out of North Station in Boston. Cedar Park is on West Emerson Street; the Church is a few hundred yards down the street.

Subway: Take the Orange Line (outbound) to Oak Grove station.

Bus: Take MBTA Bus lines #131 or #137, which run from Oak Grove (137 also from Malden subway stations, and the Reading & Malden Commuter Rail stops on the Haverhill Line). Please review the links for updated schedules.

Other: Taxis are available from all subway stations; Zipcars are available at Oak Grove; Ubers and Lyfts are everywhere!

Automobile Parking

We have a small parking lot on the side of the church for about 7 cars. We have accessible parking spots there, and like to keep this lot available for anyone needing assistance. There is an accessible ramp located here.

SPECIAL NOTE: Due to significant construction to the Melrose Public Library August 2022 through October 2024, there is no guarantee that the library parking lot or library bike racks will be available for us on Sundays.

There is plenty of on-street parking is available in front of the church and on the side streets around the church.

Please pay attention to street parking signs! While there is no time-limit on Sundays, there are time-limits at other times, and parking may only be on one-side of a street. For large events such as weddings, additional parking is available in the municipal lot behind Memorial Hall, a block southeast of the church (access via Main street – see Google map above.

Bikes can also be locked along any of the black-iron railings of the church (please not on the wheelchair ramp, let’s keep it accessible) or any street signs.
