Workshop: Monday, April 9 from 7 pm to 9 pm at MUUC
MORE (Melrose Organizes for Real Equality) has reached out to Melrose UU Church as well as other Melrose houses of worship to coordinate a workshop open to the larger Melrose community. Reverend Karlene Griffiths Sekou, a BLM organizer, will facilitate a workshop, to be held in the Supper Room (basement) at the Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church on Monday, April 9 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The workshop will focus on the history of Black Lives Matter and on-going work toward building coalitional solidarity. Black Lives Matter Boston is dedicated to restorative justice. We will hear about BLM Boston’s current priorities and how Melrose can participate in the BLM Movement.
