“Come, come, who ever you are …”
Welcome to the Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church!
The Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church recognizes that in order to be best prepared to serve others, we must also engage in activities that are both renewing and meaningful in order to refresh our own spirits. Below are just some of the offerings at MUUC to help you be ready to GET INVOLVED!
The MUUC Quilters meet at 9:00 am – 11:00 am Friday mornings (year-round). We make quilts for sale at church fairs, to support the mission: providing comforting quilts to children and families, at no charge, in pediatric emergency rooms, in neo-natal units, and in need.

MUUC has a Meditation group that meets every Thursday night at 6:30 pm (year-round). All are welcome to attend this drop-in event, to feed your spirit and keep you centered.

Covenant Groups are small, lay-led groups that discuss various topics which help to deepen and expand the ministry of the congregation, and provide opportunities for spiritual exploration. meaning. Covenant Groups follow the UU “Soul Matters” themes, the same themes as our Religious Education program and Worship Service.
Below is information about two retreats MUUC holds each year. Although these are currently termed “Men’s Group/Retreat” and “Women’s Retreat”, we are currently examining our words and practices to become more representative of who we actually are. Any adult who identifies as LGBTQIA+ or cis-gender is welcome to attend any of these events.
The Men’s Group gathers several times a year for game and pizza night and a Yankee Swap Christmas Party. We also have a Men’s Retreat, typically held in the Spring at Senexet House in Connecticut.
The Women’s Retreat is typically held in the Spring at Craigville Conference Center on Cape Cod. In the past few years, we have also been gathering for a summertime pot-luck, to reconnect during the church’s “off season”.
Once you have refreshed your soul, you can also check out the link to our Commitment to Social Justice, as you’re well on your way to the primary mission of our church, which is to help others and GET INVOLVED!
