Creative Drop-In Sessions: Coronavirus Revisions

The Thursday Evening Meditation Drop-In sessions will be online until further notice. See information & link below.

The Friday Morning MUUC Quilters drop-in sessions will be online until further notice. To join the conversation, be sure to check your Midweek Update email, which contains the link to the session.

The Melrose UU Church has weekly drop-in activities, which are free and open to the public. All are welcome; you don’t have to be an MUUC member to participate. These activities will provide you with opportunities to be creative, give to others, make connections, center yourself, and emerge refreshed.

MEDITATION!MUUC has a weekly drop-in Meditation Group. The hour-long sessions will include 30 to 45 minutes of sitting and/or walking meditation, followed by 15 minutes of spiritual realization discussion.

This group is led by MUUC members Josh S. and Terry S. who have had meditative practices for years. No meditation experience is necessary. Chairs and cushions from couches will be provided, but feel free to bring your own cushion or zafu if you prefer. This is typically held downstairs, accessible by the down-ramp on the parking-lot side of the building (occasionally held upstairs).

Friday mornings at 9:00 am, a dedicated group of fabric artists gather to create beautiful, hand-made quilts that are donated to babies and children in emergency rooms and hospitals, and to families in shelters. In the past, they also donated to a veterans hospital. No prior knowledge of quilting is needed – they’re very happy to teach. Below is the 2017 Harvest Fair quilt that was raffled off.
