Events Happening on Sunday October 10 & Monday October 11
The Anti-Racism Team urges MUUC members and friends to mark Indigenous Peoples Day in Melrose this weekend. On Sunday, 10/10 (virtually) and Monday, 10/11 (at the Ell Pond Gazebo), local historian Jim Bennett will speak about the Massachusett People and guide participants through activities that will help them learn how Indigenous people lived in this area before the Europeans invaded, and how the invasion affected them. To register, please send an email to IndigenousHistoryMelrose@gmail.com.
