A Letter To The Congregation From The Ministerial Search Committee
Dear MUUC Members and Friends,
Just about a year ago, your Ministerial Search Committee embarked on a journey…a journey to find a Ministerial Candidate to serve our congregation. Someone who will honor our traditions and grow together in ministry, and someone who will love our congregation. Together we spent many, many hours exploring what this congregation holds dear and what is important in our ministry together.
It is our great pleasure today, to announce our candidate: the Rev. Susanne Intriligator. Rev. Susanne attended Harvard Divinity School, and was ordained in 1999. She is currently the Director of Community Engagement at the Follen UU Church in Lexington, where she lives with her husband, James, and their three teenage children.
We have found Susanne to be a very thoughtful and caring minister, with a strong interest and leadership in Social Justice issues, particularly anti-racism work and promoting a sense of fairness in the World. Susanne has a keen sense of humor, and we found her services to be richly woven with meaningful and thought-provoking sentiments.
We are very excited to have you all meet Susanne in person during Candidating Week on May 12-20. There will be lots of opportunities during this week to get to know her and we encourage you to take those opportunities. Rev. Susanne will preach the service on both Sunday May 13th and 20th. Following the service on May 20th, there will be a congregational vote to formally call Rev. Susanne.
And now we begin a new journey…
and we are excited to begin that journey together, with all of you.
