“So You Want to Talk About Race” Book Discussion, 2 Tuesdays: Nov 12 & 19 at 7:30 pm

The Anti-Racism Ministry Team (“ART”) invites us all to participate in a book discussion of “So You Want To Talk About Race” on Two Tuesdays, November 12 & 19, at 7:30 pm in the Parlor.

The author, Ms. Ijeoma Oluo, says that widespread video proof of brutality towards people of color has brought the urgency of racism in America to the forefront; it’s not something people can choose to ignore any longer. Racism has affected all of our lives and has been used to intentionally separate us.

But, she also says, we can still find our way back towards each other. We just have to have those uncomfortable conversations.

Please join in this important discussion, and talk to members of ART for information about how to become more involved with our anti-racism ministry at the Melrose UU Church.

There are copies at local libraries and bookstores (all include hard-cover, paperback, audio and e-books).
