Sunday August 14th at 10:30
Meet at back of Medford HS, 489 Winthrop St, Medford
Join Paul B. for a hike in the Fells to the 90mm site, a former anti-aircraft battery that has become a meadow oasis in the middle of the forested fells that is a unique habitat and migration ground for birds and pollinators, especially butterflies.
We will meet at the back of Medford High School, at 489 Winthrop Street in Medford. Please park at the lot near the pool at the very back corner of the school, you will see a sign for the Friends of the Fells. We’ll be starting off the Mustang Loop trail head. It’s a 10-15 minute easy-moderate hike to the 90mm site from there so it should accommodate all who are interested. Bug spray and water bottles are recommended.
The Worship Committee has organized a summer full of rich program offerings for each of the Sundays this summer. The programs are varied, interesting, and an opportunity to connect with one another throughout the summer. Best of all the programs are all led by members of our church community. Please check for the Midweek Updates, MUUC website and MUUC website each week for that week’s feature offering. All programs will start at 10:30 and are family-friendly. Please join us and invite a neighbor or friend – all are welcome!
