With two other clergy, MUUC Intern minister Rhea Brown-Bright (right) holds a banner made by our junior high youth group, during a protest at Minneapolis airport. The banner reads “The wrong ICE is melting.”
Both Rev. Susanne and our intern minister Rhea Brown-Bright answered the national clergy call to Minneapolis last week. They joined with hundreds of religious leaders from across the country to protest and learn organizing skills from the brave Minneapolitans who, for months now, have been resisting federal occupation by ICE.
In Zoom-only worship last Sunday, January 25, Rhea shared their reflections. On Sunday, February Rev. Susanne gave her perspective. Join us to learn from those on the ground and to celebrate the resilience of people connected in love who are turning the tide!
The text of Rev. Susanne’s February 1 sermon about answering the national clergy call to Minneapolis is now on our website here: February 1, 2026: Bearing Witness in Minneapolis.
A link to the video for that day’s worship, and to Rhea’s reflection from the previous week, is forthcoming.
