Welcome to this sacred space, where we strive to live our VISION of being a beloved community that is welcoming and inspirational, a place of understanding and acceptance, and where social justice and compassion guide our actions.
Last year we immersed ourselves in “Diversity: On the Path to Understanding“. Please click on the link for more information about this very important topic.
This year, we will be following a series of topics from the Unitarian Universalist Association entitled, “Soul Matters Sharing Circle”, a resource-sharing UU collaborative involving hundreds of UU churches. Check out the Soul Matters Sharing Circle website to see how it works: www.
For September, our Soul Matters topic will be “Shared Vision”: what does it mean to be a People of Vision? We will participate in activities, Worship services and hear sermons about revisiting our vision as a community, as individuals, and as a nation.
The Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church has roots going back to the mid-1800’s; we are very proud of our ancestors and our HISTORY, but we’re not stuck in the past! We’re living in the present moment, as activists and stewards for the EARTH and for EACH OTHER. At the same time, we are looking towards our future, which of course includes our CHILDREN.
We especially extend a welcome to new folks! Please be sure to visit our WORSHIP and NEWCOMERS pages. Join us for our next Sunday Worship (10:30 am every Sunday, from September the Sunday after Labor Day until Father’s Day in June), and please be sure to stay for Coffee Hour after the service.
Using a colorful mug for your coffee will let us know that you would like to learn more about MUUC.
Ask for a tour – we’d be happy to show you around! See you on Sunday!
Enter. Rejoice. And Come In.
