Welcome to the Melrose UU Church!

Welcome to this sacred space, where we strive to live our vision of being a beloved community that is welcoming and inspirational, a place of understanding and acceptance, and where social justice and compassion guide our actions.

We extend a special welcome to visitors. Please be sure to visit our Worship page and especially visit our Welcome page. Join us for our next Sunday Worship (10:30 am every Sunday, from Sunday after Labor Day in September through the Sunday before Father’s Day in June). Please be sure to stay for Coffee Hour after the service. We’d love to chat with you, learn about your interests, and do feel free to ask any questions about our church and Unitarian Universalism.

At this time, we are holding hybrid Worship Services, which are online & in-person. Click HERE for more information about safe worship and COVID guidelines.

Throughout our church, whether in small groups, worship service, or children’s religious education, our church year follows a series of themes designed by the Unitarian Universalist Association entitled, “Soul Matters Sharing Circle”, a resource-sharing collaborative involving hundreds of UU churches. Included in the themes are concepts such as Wonder, Risk, and Emergence. Check out the Soul Matters Sharing Circle website for more information: www.soulmatterssharingcircle.com

The Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church has roots going back to the mid-1800’s; we believe our path was cleared by our ancestors, and they’re the ones who are guiding us to the future. We also acknowledge that our church sits upon land belonging to the Massachusett people, and support the work of recognizing their rights as the indigenous people of this land. While we do reflect on our past and our history, we live in the present moment, as activists and stewards, for the earth and for each other.

Enter. Rejoice. And Come In.
